Student Drop off & Pick Up

Morning supervision begins at 7:55 a.m. Students are to enter through the south gate between Room A1 and the Kindergarten yard. To be "on time" and not tardy, students should be in line on the playground by 8:15 a.m.
Please drop off students only in the Main Lot.

Please remember:
-NO LEFT TURN into the school from East Ave.
Drive to the top of East, make a u-turn, then line up along the curb on East to wait your turn to enter.
--Lower Lot on Banyan - Staff and Bus Only
The lower lot on Banyan remains closed to parent traffic and is used for Buses and Assigned Staff Parking. This lot is not conducive to parent drop off because Banyan is not wide enough to accommodate the line of traffic waiting to turn into the lot.
-Pull all the way forward, or all the way down in the traffic lane. Students are instructed to walk to meet the car wherever it stops. This allows more cars to load/unload at one time and improves traffic flow.
-Note that numbered parking spaces labeled "Staff" are assigned parking for staff members.
-Crossing guards, provided by the City of RC, will continue in place on Banyan and East/Banyan.
-Students riding bikes should enter the school from Banyan using the sidewalk in the Bus/Staff lot. Students should provide their own lock and adhere to Vehicle Rules for Bikes, including wearing a helmet.
Staff will be on duty before and after school, and will continue to do their best to provide for student safety and monitor traffic flow. Understand that everyone dropping off or picking up students has the responsibility to know and follow all procedures. Thank you for your cooperation and your patience and respect of our staff members as they work to provide a safe environment for everyone! Additional details regarding Drop Off and Pick Up will be listed in our Parent Handbook sent home in the First Day Packet.
