About The Teacher

Mrs. Hench:

I have been enjoying my profession for over 20 years now. I began my career in
Rowland Heights and transferred to Etiwanda in Fall of 2002. I graduated
from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies and
English. I also received my credential from CSUSB. In May of 2007 I
graduated from Point Loma University with my Masters in Educational
Administration. I have been at Etiwanda Colony since it opened. I have
taught 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade here at Colony.I enjoy teaching and love to watch the children
grow and learn. I have an amazing and supportive family. My husband Marty, and I enjoy doing everything together, and anything that involves our family. We love Glamis, Havasu and flying where ever Marty takes us. Amanda, our oldest lives in Arizona. My son, Brandon lives in Utah and loves anything outdoors related! My daughter, Kylie is currently studying to be a Speech Pathologist. My youngest son Tadd
is in 5th grade & attends Colony. My time is spent teaching, and being with my family.
I am a very busy mom.
I look forward to a great year. If you have any further questions please email me. Mrs. Hench

Mission for the Class

The mission for our class is to teach all children to be successful and
independent workers. To let them grow into responsible, contributing
citizens in our society.
We will strive to respect each other as individuals and challenge ourselves
to be the very best we can be everyday!

The Etiwanda School District provides live interactive virtual instruction through the Virtual Learning Model. Please note that during virtual sessions there is no expectation of privacy. Students and anything in their background will be in view of the class.
